Question about 2002 Kia Sportage
I purchased a used 2002 Kia Sportage 4x4 and the vacuum hoses for the 4WD are not there. I need a diagram so that I can get the hoses and hook them up. And, are there any special things I should know about hooking them up?
The rubber vacuum hose comes off the intake manifold inside the engine compartment.
The vacuum lines are located on left side fender, under the hood.
If you look facing motor you will see tehm on the right side.

I own a 2001 Sportage, purchased in 2004. After struggling with the stupid vacuum system leaks over a 4 year period, I finally decided to replace the vacuum hubs with manual hubs. So simple, even a caveman can do it. Simply remove the bolts on each hub using an electric screwdriver with a nut driver attachment (I think it\'s 6 or 8), slide out the old vacuum hubs, slide in the new manual hubs and tighten them in with the existing bolts. Block off the vacuum nozzle with some duct tape or a small screw. That\'s it! Easy! Cost of replacement manual hubs: around $130. Repair time: around 20 minutes! You have to lock the hubs manually, but no more hassles with the vacuum system.

Take to a wheel mechanic and have the hubs turned around so they are always engaged, not much differt fuel consumtion,or have warn hubs put in.the vaccum thing sucks.
