  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the sensor harness connector at the sensor.
  3. Unfasten the retaining bolt, then remove the sensor from the front cover. Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks or leakage and replace if necessary.
To install:
  1. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil, then place on the sensor. Install the sensor into the front cover.
  2. Install the sensor retaining bolt. Tighten the bolt to 17 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  3. Attach the sensor harness connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.

Can you check you fuel pressure? It could be the fuel injectors. Check the fuel filter as well. I suggest a crank sensor. Do you have a check engine light on? If so, get it read. If it is a sensor, it should pick it up. No need changing stuff that don't need changed. Can you get it read at Autozone? Let me know what they say. Is the pump all you changed? I am here to help. Just let me know.

Was driving down highway and it just quit running it cranks but won't fire

Jeeps have a problem with the crank shaft position sensor. It's located at the back of the engine where the transmission meets the engine, The part is about $50 but can be replaced easily by anyone. The sensor works off the crankshaft to know what position it's in and if the sensor cannot read off the shaft then the engine will not fire because it has no idea what position everything is in to start the engine, If you have trouble finding this part, I have a manual on this car an would be glad to scan the info and send it to you through e-mail or here. Good luck.
