I work for a small dealership in phoenix az. i have two minivans .one wont shift to high.long story short i take the working valvebody ,switch it to the trans that wont shift.still have the problem.switch it back and, it seems to not **** up the fluid.could this possibly be in difference to the fluid type?i am an all around mech but, i have had 10 years of trans experience. why is there a problem with transmission fluid?is there a usual problem in engineering or is there a plan or, benifit? i must say...WTF!

that trans sounds fair ,but the ABS sensor is way to high.also ask him if that solenoid fix is really going to fix it,I got same thing going on in a 02 buick and from what I heard is the fix wont work,but trans needs replacedso do a googl search on the problem and you might find better answers
did you also find out that P0755 & 760 were shift solenoids B & C respectively? probably looking at replacing those. Chiltons are no help when it comes to trans work. Had a '99 LH car with a 3.2L also. Maybe look for a Service manual online, you know the ones for dealers.
This part is most likely in front of the a/c condenser/ radiator or right behind the grille. There really is no way to protect it from getting wet as it will get wet when it rains anyways, however the high pressure of the car wash jets could have messed the sensor up.
if the shifter wont move with brake pedal pushed ck , shift interlock,brake pedal switch,and key interlock. if the shifter moves and trans does nothing ck cable underhood at trans for operation if working yes you have trans problem . ck fluid to see level or if burnt fluid will smell real bad if low trans wont work right.and a trans can fail with out setting any engine or trans codes.so ck engine light wont come on. there is some times a release by the shifter a small cover you pull off and stick a key or small screw driver in slot and shifter will move.
Did you have any work done to your transmission recently? If you did and it was done buy a transmission shop shame on them. This is an internal problem that occurs when the trans valve body is removed on your trans which I believe to be a A606/42LE. There is a shift plate at the bottom of the shift lever, this plate can get bent if the steering wheel shifter is not placed into the lowest gear before removing the valve body. This is an easy fix , but everything has to come out again. You would have to see it to understand. So if this was done ,this is your answer, if not then it maybe your shift cable. It may need replacing our lubrication. GOOD LUCK.
Do you have manual locking hubs on the front? If you do, you have to turn them to 'lock' position. If you have automatic hubs, you skip that step. Never shift into 4x4 low range while moving. You must come to a complete stop to shift in or out of low range. Regular 4x4 (high range) can be engaged while you are moving. Let off the gas, and put it in 4x4 high range, do the same to go back to 2 wheel drive. Vehicles that are part time 4x4 (can be shifted in and out of 4x4) should never be driven in 4x4 while on a dry surface, as you can cause excessive wear or even failure of the system. So only use it in snow, off road, etc. Have a safe trip!
Iv'e ran across this before, Try this.. unhook the postive Battery terminal for a few minutes then replace. I had the same problem with my intrepid years ago and it took care of it and never had a problem with again! Hope this works for You!
