Thinking again, I was probably about 10 years off on that call. I'm thinking 76', wow, sorry. What engine etc. is in this ? Probably see a wiring harness running to your drivers side fender, with a connector that has a bolt in middle, and about 60 wires in it? That's it. Don't know what your original problem was but be sure to clean all the contacts (usually pin connectors) in that connection, both on connector & current (old) computer (ECM) before/if, you replace it. Seen many a person replace every fuel injection system part, then computer (ecm) trying to fix a running or driving problem, only to find out it was just a bad wire or connection at that harness connector. Be sure to add di-electric lube or grease to that connection before you re-assemble for final time.

I have no brake lights in my 1989 chrysler new yorker but have every other lights whats the problem?

Check the stop light switch down by the brake pedal. there's 2 wires going to the switch. when the pedal is pressed the little button on the switch comes out and causes the brake lights to come on. Try unplugging it and putting a jumper wire in the plug to complete the circuit. Second guess: if the car is rusted, check the wires in the trunk above the wheels.

Have a 89 pickup can not find ICM or isuzus equivalent Where in truck is it , Thanks Scott

Ignition control box is actually termed an ECM (electronic control module) in those days, later changed to PCM, per the J1988 EPA standards. On the 1989 TF pickup, it was located typically under the center console, between the seats, depending on what equipment level you had. There was a coin tray that was used mostly as a cup-holder by consumers, and if you lifted out eh tray, the ECM was directly underneath. Other locations included under the glove box and behind the right and left kick-panels. It all depends on which engine/transmission/trim level combination you have.

The AC and power windows just stopped functioning yesterday, on my 1991 Chrysler Imperial. I don't see a fuse that has both functions associated. Any help would be great. Thanks David

Take a look at thse two and replace them:

Fig. 3: Relay and flasher module — Dynasty, New Yorker (1989–93), Fifth Ave. and Imperial

(This is for the power windows)

The fuse panel, which contains fuses and circuit breakers, is located behind the glove box door. Additional fuses are in the Power Distribution Center located near the left side strut tower in the engine compartment. Each item is identified on the cover of the Power Distribution Center.

There is an additional relay module (relay and flasher module) located to the right lower corner of the instrument panel (Dynasty, Imperial and Fifth Ave.) or behind the cup holder (New Yorker). A relay or flasher can be removed by pulling it straight down from the module.

Where is the reset button exactlly located in a 1989 chrysler new yorker

Many of the engine/electronic computer systems are reset by disconnecting the battery (negative side first, usually) and allowing time for the voltage in the computer to bleed off ( 30 min).
Some require a connection (either a jumper or a diagnostics computer) to be plugged in.
