Might just be broken wires between the door and the frame. HAve you checked this area. JUst pull back the wires seal. If yes just reapir those and everything should be ok and your alarm will still work. Remember to check all doors wires.

My 2001 Yukon xl key is stuck in the run position and can't turn off truck without disconnecting the battery. Anybody no a solution to my problem

If your key is stuck I will assume that you have used the truck a lot and that the lock is badly worn out, Time for a new ignition lock.

Depending on if you have an alarm system from GM installed will depend on the cost of repair, No Vats system should be a 35 buck part and maybe 1 hour worth of work, With a Vats system you will need to program the alarm for the new key OR disable the alarm system .. Good luck

Check the battery for the remote and the car battery as well. Weak batteries can make modules act up. If they are good, then chances are the module for the alarm is no good.

you can check the ignition switch but for such a young car its pretty unlikely. If its not the ignition switch then you have an electrical wiring issue and those are typically very complex.

If it's the factory security system that honks the horn and flashes the headlights, you can shut it off by turning the key in the door cylinders or in the rear tailgate key cylinder. If it's an aftermarket alarm, look for a small silver switch under the dash and usually turning the ignition on and flipping that switch will permanently put the alarm into valet mode. Good luck.

My alarm system doors locks dont work consistently. some lock some dont. my radio stays on all the time and windshield wipers wont work. it sonds like sizzleing under my dash

Was there an alarm system or after market radio installed recently? I would diconnect the battery before anymore damage happens. And take the part that was recently installed. and get back behind the Radio/or follw the alarm wires and your gonna find alot of burnt wires. You will find the arcing wires. replace them . Have you noticed anything not working? If you have ? 10 to 1 that's the problem.
Please leave a good feedback for me.
Thanks

SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. Bmw z3 alarm system problem

The alarm system is located behind your glovebox. The sensitivity portion should be mounted on the rear portion of your glovebox, while the electronic portion plugs in directly behind that. Unplug and play.
