Question about 2003 Ford Focus
This problem is very intermittant seems to happen after a short trip. car will start...then stalls right out. after sitting for about 15 or 20 minutes it will start as normal. have replaced coil, plug wires, fuel filter, gas cap, cleaned mass flow senser.
Have you replaced the fuel pump run relay, this may be the cause of the concern, when you crank the engine to start the relay is bypasses, when it starts and you let go of the key the relay energizes and keeps the fuel pump running.
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Thanks for using FixYa!
