Question about 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan
Ok, lets see if this stumps anybody!
I'm sitting in my house and I hear a horn go off, I look outside and its my 2005 Sebring. It was like someone was just laying on the horn, one long horn sound. I pushed the panic button, then it was on & off w/ lights blinking. I pushed it again and it stopped. WIERD!!!
It doesn't have an alarm, but it does have a panic button. The keys were on the counter, and I live alone, so no one pushed the panic button on the key ring. This has happened twice in the last 3/4 days.
What do you think???
I had this happen last winter. Dealer replaced the horn relay in the steering wheel. It was under warranty, the dealer stated the cost would be about $300. The part had to be ordered and took 2 days to come in. It will get worse and eventually get stuck which is a real trip at 3am. There is a relay that you can remove thats under the panel on the drivers side dash that will disable the horn. After investigating this online I found its a pretty common problem with this years model and usually happens when there is a temperature change to cold.

I have seen this happen in damp areas and very cold areas where condensation sets in and shorts out the circuit, thus soundig the horn. Good luck and remember to rate all the solutions you get, thanx.
