I had the exact same problem! it was sooo stressful.. what i did was i had a technician change the starting motor of the engine, ( i dont if it's called like that in english) it;s not very expensive, the problem disappeared forever since then.. i can't guarantee anything though.. but good luck!

Probably the best shot is to bring it to your local dealer where they can reprogram your key.

Alfa 1452liter twinspark, 1999 model. We clean the trottle body put it back and key code and injector light stays on and wont start

At some point the computer has detected a fault (probably the missing throttle body while you had it off) and has thrown an error code. Suggest you get the error code reset - that will probably fix it. You will need the reset device to do this or get a dealer to do it.

Is there chain on alfa 156 2.0 liter?

If you are talking about a timing chain I think the answer could be no. I have a 2003 Spider 2L JTS which is the same engine as the 2003 156. Before that they had the 2L Twinspark and both have timing belts which need to be replace regularly along with the pulleys and idlers. Much earlier twinspark engines have a timing chain. Have a look at www.Alfa Cheers. Brian.

Audi a4 throttle control unit

immobilizer not recognizing key. vehicle will start and cut out immediately. try unplugging instrument cluster and recconecting as they sometimes develope a bad connection due to connector pins being very fine. check connection between ignition barrel and dash cluster. immobilizer built into cluster. if engine control unit has been changed immobilizer won't recognise it, must be adapted using diagnostic reader. this is done by entering instruments [code 17] select adaption [code 10] and channel 00 [erase learned values] and confirm. keys may need to be adapted to immobilizer [only at dealer as key code is needed.

Starting problem

yeah, once the anti-theft light turns on you may have to wait from 3 min. to 10 on other vehicles. This happens due to the ignition switch not recognizing the key, there for setting off the light(alarm). Over time the tumblers inside the switch get stuck or worn out with time. The solution is very expensive because you gotta replace the ignition switch, key lock tumblers and reprogram the key.

Will not start, has a B2796 security code. this is a 2000 toyota landcruiser. we have plenty of fuel pressure but do not seem to be getting spark. ignition key is pretty worn and hard to turn sometimes

That code corresponds with the ignition not being able to recognize that you are using the right key. It thinks you're trying to use the wrong key. You'll need a new key made.
