You will have to pull the oil pan. Remove the oil pump and either replace it or clean the pickup screen and tube. Some gunk has probably clogged it up. Don't use that Engine Flush stuff or you will make it even worse (bearing destruction).

98 honda civic new oil pump cant get enough pressure

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may have damaged the crankshaft. If you did not gauge the crank journal where the rod was, the journal may be worn enough for the bearing to be loose and letting oil pressure escape there.
Or there could be metal particles in the engine and now in the oil pump screen which would block oil from entering the pump.

I have a 1988 honda civic it shuts down while Im driving. It will start up again after a few minutes. I replaced the fuel pump but the problem is still on going. please help me

Sounds like your fuel pump relay is going bad. On most honda models this is located under the dash on the driver's side of the car. If the relay is okay, then the next step would be to replace the iginition switch. On my 1988 Honda it would not start up after I shut it off and went into the store and came back out. My brother's Honda would just shut down when turning a corner or changing lanes. After changing his fuel pump and fuel filter, we changed the ignition switch and that solved the problem. If I were you I would change the ignition switch.

Water is leaking from the drivers side as soon as you fill it with out the car being on it is a 1988 Honda civic dx hatch back

There is something called a "weep hole" on the water pump. Water seeps out of this hole to let you know the water pump is bad. It is to the lower right of your driver's side motor mount right below the head, but it's on the side of the block. From the bottom you will notice this leaking all over your lower plastic timing cover. When you change this pump you are also supposed to have your timing belt changed.

Why would my 96 honda civic be burning oil

Is it burning it or leaking it? If it is burning it then it could be caused from worn out valve seals or valve guides or worn out or cracked piston rings. The engine will have to be torn down to fix a problem like this. You may try using a product like motor honey or lucal oil stabalizer to help slow down the oil burning. There is no easy fix for a problem like this unfortunately

I own a 88 civic with 450,000 miles on it. I've done everything you can do to it. the civic doesn't have a oil temp sensor, however it does have a pressure sensor on the back of the motor near the oil filter.
