Question about 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD
My transmission will not upshift. I thought the transmission failed so I took the truck to a transmission shop and verified the transmission was the problem. After a transmission rebuild that I removed and replaced I still have the problem. Transmission shop sees a code of P1693 in the PCM. Any suggestions with a fix?
Sounds like a problem i had on my 96. but, check the muffler. If the KAT converter is pluged , it wont shift into 3rd, at 45mph. Witch the OBD and 3 techs couldnt find. This unit only cost me $100.00.Better than 2 grand. Let me know.
