There should be a number on the old bulb itself. If it's not readable, check the bulb for the right signal. Generally speaking, they're all the same wattage wise, just different size and types.

Hey I literally just today had the same problem, put a new bulb in the light was on but did not blink!!!! SUPER EASY SOLUTION, you simply have the bulb in too far. I gently pulled mine out a tiny bit and it started working fine... guarantee that's all that's happening to you!!!

Left front signal light want work

It sounds like one of two things. One the light may be burnt out. If you have not already checked it, look in your owners manual for how to access the bulb. You can take the turn signal bulb that does work, into the socket and see if the problem rests with the bulb or the wiring. If the bulb looks fine, check your fuses if you have not done so already. If you do not know which fuses, or where, control your turn signal, look in your owners manual. You may need to check more than one fuse as the light may be protected by muiltiple fuses doing different jobs. If all seems fine here and the light still wont work, check all the wires that lead to the light. Also check to see if there is some corrosion or rust in the bulb socket. That might affect the bult as well.

97 Pontiac Trans Sport. Turn signal problem

verify the ground wire is good, black wire, its down on the frame rail, opposite of the air filter housing, if thats OK, it, could be the turn signal switch. but the wires go from the turn signal switch, through the Daytime Running Lights Module, through the fuse panel under the hood, then to the light socket. wire is light blue / white coming out of turn signal switch to DRL module, then its light blue all the way to the socket.

Hazards and blinkers not working

There are separate fuses for the turn signals and blinkers, but you should check both of them just to see if they're good.

You may have a burnt out turn signal bulb as well. I know that this sounds like an obvious answer, but a single bulb can sometimes disable the entire system because of the way that some flashers operate.

You could also have a defective turn signal/hazard light flasher. This is located under the dash board on the driver's side between the steering column and the door. You have to remove the sound insulation/kick panel (the cover on the bottom of the dash board) to reach the flasher (it is easy to remove - I don't think you even need tools).
