On the inside of the panel that you take off to get to the fusebox there should be a diagram listing what each fuse controls. Try that and see if it works. If not a chevy dealer can always help you

SOURCE: I have a 2000 chevy

Its generally labelled the cig fuse in the drivers door pillar fuse panel. Some models have 2 fuses the other marked aux for the optional power outlets. It should be in the same panel. Later models are under the hood fuse panel (still marked cig).

SOURCE: need to know where the heater core and heater

The heater core is on the passenger side under the dash within the heater airflow contoller box. If you had Xray vision and could look straight through the glovebox, then you would see it. The heater control vale for the water flow is on the passenger side top of the engine near the firewall. It will have a domed top with a vacuum line to it and it is placed into the heater core supply hose.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 The heater does not

Had the same thing happen to my truck, the blen door actuator is under the console on passenger side, but the heater core is going to be clogged if you dont have any heat coming through, but a/c works..

2000 Chevy Silverado LS 2wd 4.8 V8. Can't flush the heater core?

Question edited for clarity and typo, and add maker.
Question moved to model category.

The AC evaporator core and the heating core are normally two separate items. It is unlikely that the heater core is completely clogged. There must be a valve in your flushing circuit.

Fuse box 2000 Chevy silverado

there are like 3 for a 2000 chevy silverado. 1 on left side of dash accessible only when door is open. 2 on right side of dash, not sure those fuses are applicable to you tho, and 3 under hood beneath a plastic cover that you snap off by pulling on.

2000 Silverado daytime running lights don't work. bulbs new.

Not saying that you don't know this but the daytime lights are turned off in park.
If that is not your problem, a friend of mine uses the amber bulbs, they last longer.

1988 chevy silverado fuse box

I hope this helps a little, you said the fuse box panel is gone....so how do you know some fuses are missing?

I just bought a 1988 silverado also, the wipers ,power windows and windshield washer fluid only work "when they want to" I think I have a bad ground somewhere.
