Question about 2000 Dodge Caravan
I been reading on the net and found a few data saying something about an intake leaking problem. That worried me but anyway, I have a smooth engine when its cold with it in drive sitting still and when it gets warmer it goes to missing, Its not a bad miss , it never stalls or anything, I have water and oil and it dont over heat and starts to a quick touch of the key , but it does miss , a scan says I have a misfire on the number one cylinder.
I have to ad that its very smooth when you get on the gas in drive, its always smooth when the throttle is open,
I wonder if it could be as simple as a plug or wire on the number one cylinder?
I had a few people say that would fix it . I have a smell of radiator water when the passenger window is up , no wet floor inside and no sign of the heater core leaking but that smell makes me wonder if it could be a intake leaking, then the last things the van dont hit a single time when I try to start it on a rainy day.
The miles by the way are 135k,
another tip i get the feel from ohio I could get in this van and drive to florida without any problem.
Oh yea one last thing , can an intake leak only effect that one cylinder and be a small miss and no miss at all when you pull off?
Thanks in advance Terry H
Disconnect egr valve & see if any change. if vacuum line to it, be sure to plug it when you take it off.

Did you pull that spark plug & look at it to compare it to others?
