PRESS AND HOLD IN THE TRIPOMETER RESET BUTTON. WITH IT IN, TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION WITHOUT STARTING THE ENGINE. THE DISPLAY WILL COUNT DOWN IN HASH MARKS FROM 6 TO 0. AFTER IT REACHES 0 RELEASE THE TRIPOMETER RESET, TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION. ONCE YOU RESTART THE LIGHT SHOULD BE OFF.

1. turn engine off , 2. press trip meter reset knob and hold it , turn ignition on , with the engine off, continue to press and hold reset knob until the trip meter displays "00000" , reminder light will turn off . if system fails to reset , repeat procedure . +

you can take the Negative wire off the battery for about 10 minute and reinstall it if it not working you need to take the car to autozone or advance auto parts to reset it ( Free ) no charge good luck.
