I think that that is where the fuel shutoff emergency reset valve is located on your particular vehicle....try removing the glovebox and checking that the valve is there and reset it.If it keeps doing the same thing replace it. there are only 2 wires connected to it.

I am not sure as to why there would be noises coming out from behind your glove box, But i would suspect a lose wire. more than likely on the starter itself. I would trace the red or :hot" wire down from the batter to the starter and check them to make sure that they are all tight, also inspect them to be sure that there are no bare spots that might be touching the metal of the motor or frame.

It's a little motor that i believe opens and shuts a damper to do with the climate control, a quick fix is just adjusting the cabin temp up a few notches.

Vent Control Noise Behind Glove Box

The noise is coming from the blend door motors.
All of the climate control doors (vents, defroster, temperature, recirculation etc) are controlled by electronic motors. As the motors age they tend to make a buzzing noise when they move.

There is a software upgrade that is available to minimize the noise, but it will always make the noise to some degree.

Hope this helps.
