Question about 2000 Jaguar S-Type

FUEL COMPUTER DATA ERROR

I HAVE A JAGUAR S-TYPE, AND SOMETIMES IT WONT START.AND THIS IS A PROBLEM WHEN I NEED TO GET TO WORK!!WELL IT SAYS FUEL COMPUTER DATA ERROR WHEN I TRY TO START IT AND THIS CAN LAST FOR HOURS.I KEEP IT TO A FULL TANK BUT SOMETIMES AT HALF A TANK, IS WHEN IT DOES IT.THERE ARE OCCASIONS WHEN IT WILL HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS AND IT WILL STILL DO IT.BUT IT SWITCHES FROM FUEL COMPUTER DATA ERROR WITH IN SECONDS AND I CAN TAKE OFF.WHAT SHOULD I DO.NO ONE WHERE I LIVE WILL WORK ON IT.

1994 jaguar ignition coil...my car turns over but sometimes wont start. We put a tester on the fuel pump to see if that was it, but when it didn't start the pressure was at 44lbs so it was working


Hi Kenny, The fuel pressure is on the low side. I would also check the crank and cam pickup sensors. Another point of interest should be the temperature sender unit that sends to the computer. I would suspect the igniter before the ignition coil. regards John

2004 jaguar s type fuel computer data error


Ensure that the electrical connector for the feul pump is ok. Remove the rear seats and the large rubber bungs that cover the top of the feul tanik jet pumps.

Possibility of a fault of the in tak feul pump

abs light on also? mileage read out? abs modules are very common, i had three of em in a month last spring.... jaguar all were on back order.....
one thing i would try...remove the abs connector at the module and apply stabalant 22 to the conector pins and to the female side as well.... reconnect and and un hook battery while performing and module connector removing, it did work on one of the ones i had

Missfire on number 3 coil on 2001 S type Jaguar 3.0 V6 Sport


Check the igniter module.
I assume you have a ecu code telling you #3 coil is missfiring ?
If so also check the crankshaft angle sensor .
If it is not an error code do a compression test and check the injector.
