I have a 1999 ford escort zx2 that's been sitting up for a couple of years well i decided to start driving it again but for some reason i can't get the radio to work it won't come on at all and i never had this problem before

As with any no-start issue, you will need to figure out if you have a problem with fuel pressure to the injectors, or spark to the plugs. I would also check the computer for trouble codes. Let me know what you find out.
