Question about Peugeot Cars & Trucks
I have a 2009 Peugeot 308 2.0L HDi, currently has performed 40 000km. Today it brought up Depollution System Faulty on the central dash unit. Vehicle had just been driven 40km along the highway. After taking off after a red traffic light, the motor lost all power, like going into limp mode, which we proceeded the last 5km home. After parking it up, about an hour later we went out again in it for a 5 km drive, which was no problem with full power and warning not displayed. At 20 000km we had the same problem, taking the vehicle back to a Peugeot dealer 4 times in 2 weeks, with the final repairs being 4x new diesel fuel injectors. After reading many forums, it looks a common failure across the Peugeot range. Also reading more about this issue, it is advised to take the car out for a good thrash for 20+ km to heat the vehicle depollution system up to rectify the problem. Will give it a go tomorrow, but hold reservations if it would work. Any idea's. Thankyou
We had that problem and it turned out to be a broken engine coil. This is a generic message for a number of faults. You will need to take it to a garage.

Well its a 2009 and as such its all electronic control and it can only be diagnosed using the dealer software via the internet this is to stop people like myself from doing anything to it ,from the sound of it i would suspect the throttle position sensor under the dash on the end of the throttle pedal as this fault i have had before on more than one occasion even more so with my favourite )not( make of vehicle a renault but in all honesty you are in the hands of the dealers here as they are the only ones with access to the software via the internet with the factory ,Sorry i cannot give you a nice fixya easy type fix
