Question about 2005 Ford Fiesta 1.6

Open Question

Hi, I have a 2004 Ford Fiesta Zetec and all of a sudden I have a constant buzzing noise, coming from the dashboard. You can't pick up the noise from outside due for he engine noise, but its clear from the inside of the vehicle. The noise does not change depending of speed or direction, but it does match the engine noise. The noise sounds a bit computery, if that makes sense!! Like your playing a car racing game on the computer. I've just had the car in for it's m.o.t and it has passed. The mechanic said he doesn't know what the noise is and that I should look it up on the internet or take it to the ford dealership. Has anyone else experienced this and know what it is??

SOURCE: Fitting brake light - fiesta zetec

There is also a push in socket at the top of the light and a clip at the bottom. When the screws are all undone insert a flat screw driver under the light fitting about 4 inches from the top (remember to use a cloth under the edge of the screwdriver to avoid marking the paintwork) you should be able to push it out now.

The orange engine light is flashing intermittently and its driving very lumpy

Hi, my dad has just bought a ford fiesta 2003 on sunday. His engine light came up yesterday and is continually on. He took it to a garage today and they said it was the catalyst converter. It costs £300-£400 for a new one. Its to do with the emissions the car is giving out.
