The car engine has stop and don't don't start again!
I have a 1999 Daewoo Lanos 1.6, the gas came to the engine and the fire go to the plug too but when we turn the key the engine turn easily without sign of ignition. We have think the timing belt was broken but the valve is moving when starting! What should i check to find the problem?
Re: The car engine has stop and don't don't start again!
I'm workin on the same problem. what I have found out so far is that it could be that the fuel pump isnt giving enough fuel pressure therefore not opening the injectors . so you have to check fuel rail pressure.problem is i cant find the info without having to buy the repair manual.so i dont know what the pressure should be.but I know that if the pressure is fine then its probably the injectors.

Are you sure your timing belt is on right? If you're out one tooth, it's gonna run like ****, and if it's not firing at all on one cyllinder, you're going to wash down the cyllinder walls (with gas while you're driving) and have engine failure. 400 K ? You might make it. Won't do your engine any good.
spark wire order of daewoo lanos is 1423 with you facing the engine; spark 1 is on th extreme left then 2,3,4 ..insert them as 1 (extreme left) is the highest to be plugged in, under which insert 4 then 2 then 3 at the bottom, hope it helps
this happened to me, only she was misfiring as opposed to not firing at all, i got the plugs and leads replaced (one needed a helicoil as the threads were worn) but chevrolet themselves did the job on it and told me the the camshaft was blocked with old oil, they flushed that and reflashed the ecu, and she was right as rain again
however it could be a timing problem? not too sure of timing procedures!
