SOURCE: failed inspection due to obd fails to communicate

HI. This will be an issue with the actual port prongs. The prongs may be separated from the inside of the port housing. this will cause the no/signal issue, or no transfer of codes, as well. Kindly inspect the port, and housing for broken or bent internal prongs. Check the back side of the port as well for loose, or broken connection cable. replace the port if any damage is visible.

NOTE_ In most cases, this will be prong failure, and you will need to replace the port plug.

SOURCE: WHAT DOES THESE OBD CODES

Hi.

All the codes mean that there is a problem with the automatic transmission. I will start from the more general codes.

P0700 : this is the most generic code. It is telling you that an additional trouble code is stored in the automatic transmission dedicated electronic module, called TCM. The TCM can be scanned at any authorized garage using a Tech 2 diagnostic tool.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:

Any automatic transmission malfunction.

P0731 : Wrong gear ratio in first.
The Transmission Gear Ratio is monitored continuously while the Transmission is in gear. If the ratio of the input RPM to the output RPM does not match the current Gear Ratio you get this code.

Low transmission fluid.
Automatic transmission malfunction.

P1781-OD PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
One of the Pressure Switches in transmission is closed at the wrong time in a given gear.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:

TRANSMISSION RELAY DTCS PRESENT
INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS
TRANSMISSION RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
O/D PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
O/D PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
O/D PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
O/D PRESSURE SWITCH INOPERATIVE
TCM - O/D PRESSURE SWITCH

P1784-LR PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT.

Possible causes: see P1781.

P1781 and P1784 are the most revelatory codes, they say that there is a problem with transmission fluid circulation. Replace transmission fluid. Low fluid level can be the cause of many Transmission problems. If the fluid level is low locate and repair the leak then check and adjust the fluid level per Service Information.
If replacing fluid does not help, have the TCM codes scanned, and test the transmission relay.
Here procedure for the relay testing:

Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
Disconnect the Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly harness connector
Remove the Transmission Control Relay from the IPM.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Connect a jumper wire between the Transmission Control Relay Output circuit and
the Fused B+ circuit in the IPM.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Transmission Control Relay
Output circuit in the Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly harness connector.
NOTE: The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to
that of a direct connection to the battery.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes ? Go To 7
No ? Repair the Transmission Control Relay Output circuit for an open
or high resistance. If the fuse is open make sure to check for a
short to ground.
7) Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
Disconnect the TCM harness connector.
Disconnect the Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly harness connector.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the resistance of the L/R Pressure Switch Sense circuit from the TCM
harness connector to the Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly harness
connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?

Yes ? Repair the L/R Pressure Switch Sense circuit for an open.
Perform 41TE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST

Repalce egr and engine light still on

OBD II needed to reset and erase the codes. they will go out after a large number of uses. but for about $50 you can buy an OBD 2 for you car and plug it in under your dash usually and reads the code and tells you whats wrong and what sensors are showing up. also can erase the codes and turns out the engine light . PS if your going to inspect your car. Once you erase the codes you`ll need to drive your car for 80 to100 miles for the computer to reconfigure itselt for the engine performance. otherwise the inspection will read computer not ready na dyou`ll fail inspection.

Turn you ignition switch to the on position ,does the CK ENG Lite appear, if yes this is a good indication. Your DLC (diagnostic link connector) should have battery voltage at pin 16 and ground at 4 and 5,If you can verify that your vehicle has this working order then its there problem and not yours

Did not pass state inspection (vehicle)

First the fault codes,
U110C is No Fuel Level Bus Message
U0155 is No Cluster Bus Message.
Unfortunatly you have to be able to communicate with the instrument cluster with your scanner to diagnoise and I do not think an aftermarket scanner can do this.
