SOURCE: vw transporter t5 04 van t30 2.5

I had the same problem with my T5 130. My mechanic replaced the head gasket to no avail, then we checked the oil filter, that was ok.then we went on to a web forum and found out that the AXD engine suffers from water pump failure. We took it off and it was corroded, the seal had failed and was pumping water into the block. My advice,CHECK WATER PUMP FIRST! Good luck Marc,Somerset.

SOURCE: oil coming out of exhaust and whistling turbo

it sounds like your turbo has packed in firstly the oil seal in your turbo has failed thats why ur seeing oil from exhaust & the whistling from turbo is the vanes in turbo breaking up so i would advise not to use car until new turbo is fitted & inter cooler pipes and inter cooler itself are checked & cleaned for swarf from turbo you can check turbo by disconnecting turbo pipe &inspecting turbo vanes (fins) to see if broken up or any damage to chamber.

SOURCE: 98 Volvo V70 Turbo engine oil leak

It may be the gromet for the PCV valve or it could be the spark plug rubber seal located in the valve cover if it is the type of engine that has the wires and spark plugs that go down through the valve cover, if this is the case buy a valve cover gasket with the rubber gromets that are located around the base of the hole where spark plugs fit through and install.

You put it in park and turn off and it resets. You turn it on and it runs awhile and zeros out. Try looking at the parking sensors and the on board computer.

Vw turbo s makes whistling sound when I start it

There may be a intake air leak or a bearing that is on its way out. Once the oil gets to the bearing it will become quiet.

Oil leaking around turbo on 2000 jetta

If you are getting boost, your turbo is likely not blown. There is a banjo bolt connection for the turbo oil. If it has loosened, then it would be leaking oil on the outside of the turbo. A blown turbo leaks on the inside (I believe, though not positive).

I don't have a TDI, but have a VW 1.8T with a turbo I recently replaced.

There is really nothing to fix other than to replace the turbo. It is not a tough job (at least the 1.8T wasn't) though it took 11 hours to complete. So you should try to get the oil leak fixed (near too much heat to ignore) but should likely only need to replace if it's not providing boost, or making strange sounds.

I have a vwt5 transporter diesel. started running really rough. put a brand new fuel filter in , filled it up with deisel fuel went fine for 300klms then did it again. its really bad hardly driveable...

Hi Chris, as this was 2008, you have obviously solved this or moved on to ... I cannot think of what to move on to, anyway. I had a coolant leak on my t5 and have replaced the water pump which does fail regularly on t5's and vw will give you money back for the old one and then co-incidentally I had a thermostat leak afterwards and had to replace that too. I noticed my pipes form the intercooler were half way ourt of their couplings and reinserted them. after that I drove up the road hopping along with serious stalling of the engine. the pipe I thought I had refitted had come out, I refitted again and it was like new, I could not belive how a loose cilip- pipe fitting would alter the running so drmaativcally.
