Question about Cars & Trucks
I inherited the car about 6 months ago. I somhow managed to run over something in the road the week after I got it and ever since the car has run a bit rough- (This could be unrelated but I thought I should mention). It sometimes makes a rattling on the driver side of the hood while idoling and is now you can feel it transitioning (its an automatic but now you can sometimes feel it shifting). I have not noticed anything leaking from the car but I would not rule it out. I do not know how to check the transmission fluid. Car also seems to go through coolant pretty quickly - ( I have had to fill it twice in the last 6 months) Oil levels are normal. Any thoughts?

Plug in your car and listen for a "sizzle" sound. If you hear this then your block heater works.... if not..... Call Canadian Tire!

Just took my car to the shop for the same appearent reason me also thinking it may be lifters. My mechanic said it spounds like a worn wrist pin ...... bad news for you if this is the case .......recomendations rebuild the engine or buy a new or remanufactured one. if the wrist pin lets go then you could throw a rod. If you must drive the car please be gentle
