Well usualy that means your heater core went out and it needs to be replaced. tyr the heat and if there is no heat then have heater core replaced. if you have heat and its not the heater core then it could be the passenger door weather stripping

2009 Chevy HHR water in floor passenger side front and back after heavy rain car was just sitting all day not driving where did 2 inches of clear water in floor come from,

The high-level intake at the base of the windshield directs rain water through channels behind the door pillars to the street. If the channels become clogged with leaves and debris, the rain water can leak inside.

Check the rubber around the windows and doors of the passenger side. Also, if your keys were ever locked in the car, and they used the passenger door to get in, your door could be bent but you may not be able to tell.

Rover 25 passenger side floor well soaking wet

have you had the AC on by any chance ,if not then check the drain holes either side at the bottom of nwhere the wiper motor is as their are drain holes either side of the bulkhead or firewall in american ,to drain the floor just drill a 5/16th hole in the lowest point of the floor when the car sits in the kerb this will allow the water to escape i,old adage of mine if it can in then let it out

Fix leaking on passenger floror

After a heavy rain, I noticed about 2 inches of water on the rear passenger floorboards of my '02 Signature TC. The front was also soaked.

Try this link at Edmunds' forum - http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f147dda/0 - it discusses various leaks the town car has. A little way into the thread, it specifically discusses the leak on the passenger side. My leak was coming in through the foam gasket under the HVAC (air vent assembly). After reading the entire thread, I concluded my problem could be fixed by following Ralka's instructions on page three, reply #25. The whole repair took just over an hour - I'm not a mechanic, so if you're mechanically inclined, it would probably take less time. It fixed the problem.

PS - I also had to replace two plastic, rectangular cowl retainer clips (with plastic screws), they're made by Dorman (the 41099 cowl retainer fit perfectly, in spite of a link they have that says it's not made for the TC). If you also need to replace the clips, you can get them here - http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?searchType=global&Ntt=cowel+retainer&N=0&submit=Submit+Query.

Good luck.

With heavy rains the carpet on my passenger side front is soaked

SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS A LEAK COMING FROM SOMEWHERE! COULD BE A SOFT PLUG ON THE FIREWALL UNDER THE HOOD! IF IT IS REMOVED, WATER WILL ENTER THE CAB THERE! OR POSSSIBLY UNDER THE CAR ON PASSENGER SIDE! IF IT IS UNDERNEATH, THE TRIM, AND CARPET WILL HAVE TO BE RAISED TO REPLACE THE PLUG FROM UNDER THE CARPET!

Water leaks onto the passenger floorboard during heavy rain

Floor plug or plugs have fallen out most likely. There Should be some plastic plugs under the floor board outside. Look to visualy check to insure they are still in one piece.

A busted heater core will flood the passenger side floorboard when the heat is turned on.

Water on floor board on passenger side of 1991 Buick Century

Engine coolant will feel oily and the windshield will fog up and the car will stink. If it is just water it could be coming from the passenger door weatherstrip at top. The ac drain tube , if stopped up will also leak water in the floorboard.

Water on the passenger side floor when it rains

Sounds like the drain for your heater case is blocked, there is a small drain tube on the engine side of the firewall on the passenger side, you can shine a light down there and poke a screw diver in it or just pull the elbow right off and it should take care of it.

Everytime it rains really hard rain gets in the car. There is a 2 or 3 inches in the passenger side floor board.

I have the same problem with my 91' 318. Water is coming in from the outside air intake at the base of the front windshield, under the black vent covers. If the basin fills up, water enters the vent system throught the outside air intake. Solution: there is a drain line at the fire wall, easily accessible between the firewall and engine block. It drains water from the basin. It becomes clogged with dirt, and prevents water from draining. However, after further inspection of mine I noticed that during periods of HEAVY rain, even a clean drain line is inadequate to drain that volume of water and the same happens. See attached link. Good Luck
