Try checking the timing...take the valve cover off...remove the rubber cover for your inspection window on the flywheel... line up the white line on your flywheel with the pointer...once your lined up at tdc with the flywheel check your cam sprockets and make sure they are in the right alignment...also take your cap off and look at where your rotor is pointing..making sure it is pointing at #1 cylinder

Check if there is spark, eventually replace spark plugs.

Check air intake and air filter.

Check fuel filter and check that the fuel pump is fine, that there is pressure and pump is not noisy.

My honda prelude is flactuating idling (self reving and reducing)

First check the fuel filter, than see if you have your spark plugs clean and that they do fire properly, if all fine than it can be only diagnostics job and a faulty sensor.

We have a 1992 hondal prelude that got hit in the drivers side door. After that it lost power. I t doesn't have any spark or fuel.

try replacing the main relay. location is under the steering column usually bolted down with a single bolt. this relay controls spark and fuel.

THEN THE CAM TIMING MUST BE WRONG OR THE INJECTOS ARE NOT DELIVERING FUEL, HAVE YOU TESTED THE INJECTORS TO SEE IF THEY ARE PULSING AND DELIVERING FUEL? U CAN TEST THIS WITH A TOOL CALLED A "NOID" VER Y EASY TO USE, PLUGS INTO THE INJECOTR HARNESS AND FLASHES IF THEY WORK. ALSO VERIFY THE CAM IS SET RIGHT
