Question about Volkswagen Cars & Trucks

Open Question

My cooling fan for the inside of my mk1 citi golf does not work. The motor was tested and I was told that it does work however, when I trun it on I don't feel any cool air coming in by the vents. What could be the problem and how can I resolve it.

SOURCE: vw golf Mk3 VR6 gearbox/cooling system

I don't know where your leak is happening but I suspect the transmission fluid attacks rubber and may be leaking from the heater because of softened hoses.
I think the first move I would make is to buy a Haynes or Chilton service manual and spend some time researching how the transmission and cooling systems are related. The books are available at auto parts stores (or on line of course) and cost between $17-$30 US.

SOURCE: AIRLOCK IN COOLING SYSTEM

Hi Nizzy . Sorry to tell you but it sounds like your water pump impeller has fallen/broken off . Depending on your engine code it would be better off changing the cambelt and tensioner at the same time . Regards VW Audi tech

SOURCE: heat blows out driver vent when ac on

this problem is caused by a defective air temperature control blend door actuator motor, it is about center of dadsh in air ducting, it moves the door that diverts air for cold from ac or hot from heater, you must remove the dash to repace it, about a 15 hour job fotr a home mechanic with a factory repair manual, nearly imposs without one.
