Did you remember to replace the fuse?. So, the fan kept running even with the controls in the off position? Were there any other accessories that would run with the key turned off?

After changing the battery in our 02 PT Cruiser, the air bag warning light came on and won't go off along with the power windows/fan motor/ rear defrost stopped working. car starts and runs fine.

Year/make/model???? Changing the battery should not affect all of the above. Sounds like a power supply issue and possible ignition switch problem. Try starting the vehicle and gently moving the key/ignition switch back and forth slightly while using the window button and heater fan on. If these begin to operate while moving the key, suspect an ignition switch issue

Cooling fan runs continuously, even after shutting the ignition off

sounds like it could be a relay.

With everything plugged in and the fans running with the key off remove the cooling fan 1 fuse. Do they stop?

If they do not stop remove the cooling fan 2 fuse. Do they stop?

98 expedition cranks when no one is in the vehicle and no keys are in the ignition

Hello, Start by looking under the hood at the starter Relay. Unplug the small wires and your starter should stop spinning. If it does not, then the Relay is bad. If it does not spin continue with the following steps.

You need to put a test gauge on the small wire you removed from the starter relay. You can test with a light or with a Voltmeter. Either way, your goal is to kill the current in this small wire. The small wire gets its power from a series of switches. The Ignition switch can be bad and may be providing full-time power.

Before you replace the Ignition switch, look under the Drivers' dash and see at the top of the brake pedal for another switch. These get hit and broken by feet all of the time. If the switch appears broken or out of place in its holder, correct that problem and observe if the test device shows no power to the small starter Relay wire.

You have diagnosed or fixed the problem and avoided pulling out a good Ignition switch. If the problem is still there, then you need to try a new Ignition switch. You will need to remove the plastic steering column cover and position the Ignition core to either ACC or RUN position to remove the key core. Remember to press under the switch to release a spring-loaded pin.

While you are attempting to remove the Ignition, the Battery will need to be disconnected several times. This is because the Interlocks need power to allow the key to turn, but you do not want full-time power while you have the key in ACC or RUN position.

I hope my Solution is very helpful to you. You should be able to repair your problem with what I have given you.

2000 hyundai elantra alarm goes off where is the

There is NO kill switch on the 2000 Elantra... HOWEVER, there is a thing called the Key Fob (keyless remote entry system). There is, however, a system in place called the 'starter kill' circuit and it is activated when the burglar alarm goes off.... it's called the burglar alarm relay and it is activated to prevent the engine starter system from being used. There are three ways to get the engine started in such a circumstance... 1. use the key fob to 'disarm' the system... 2. put the key in the ignition and turn it to the 'RUN" position and wait until the alarm stops (horn stops beeping and the parking lights stop flashing), then the engine will start.... 3. pull the starter relay from the UnderHood junction box and bypass the starter circuit (key in ignition and in the 'RUN' position), jumper the starter solenoid circuit to energize the solenoid to start cranking the engine -- it should start then.
