The problem could be that the door lock itself doesn't work. It could also have some electrical or linkage problems if it locks by itself. I suggest taking it to a locksmith or a shop that deals with these types of problems.

The right turn signal on my 1997 buick park avenue will not work. all other parts of this multi switch work

Does the front and rear light on the right side come on when you activate the switch ?
If a light is out the system won't flash.
If one side comes on and the other does not, the problem is usually in the turn signal switch.

Fuel injectors won't shoot 1997 Buick Park Avenue

The injectors get power from a relay and are grounded by the ECM.
You need to know if they are getting power first.

1994 park avenue will not start anti security won't go off

Hi, those can be particularly nasty to diagnose. I had a 96 park avenue-same thing after I hit a deer. OK, some info please. Did you hit anything? Replace a starter or battery? Have a new key made or have very old keys? Replace an ignition lock cylinder or have a problem turning key? Those things can trigger the passlock anti-theft system. Seems your car is in lock-down mode. (It thinks its being stolen.)
Please reply, we'll try and find a solution. Thanks, Mike

I have a 1997 buick ultra park avenue. yesterday I put my car in park and cut the car off. aLL THE LIGHTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CAR WENT OUT ALONG WITH THE ENGINE. HOWEVER WHEN i OPENED THE DOOR TO GET...

sounds like theres a problem with the ignition switch or the cylinder lock, your going to have to unplug harness connection under dash to see if radio goes out with the chime if it goes out when unpluged then the problem is in ingnition system, most likely its a jammed key sensor in cylinder, start there hope this helps,

1997 buick park ave 4 door right front door handle won,t work from the outside

Order the exterior door handle AND the clip that attaches the rod to the exterior handle from your local dealership ( any part in the salvage yard will have at least as much wear as the one U are replacing ) Also order a can of touch up paint matching your car. After you have the parts and have painted the new exterior handle, roll down the window and remove the interior door panel. ( instructions have been posted at 'replace door lock buttom' ) Two nuts, one on each side, hold the broken handle in place and must be removed ( DON'T loose them ). Loosen the rod from the clip at the top to allow a bit more room, But take note on the way it is attached ( you will need to reattach the rod to new handle ) To install new mechanism put the new clip on the rod, carefully place the gasket and the new handle in place and install nuts to secure. Test the door handle and make sure it works. Reinstall interior door panel.
