SOURCE: WHERE DO I LOCATE THE EGR VALVE ON MY 2001 CHEVY IMPALA 3.8 V6

The egr valve is located at the end of a hose that plugs into youe valve cover. It is pushed right into a rubber grommet that is located in one of the valve covers. I hope this helps. don.t forget to rate my nswer, thanks

SOURCE: 2006 chevy malibu.... where is the egr valve

If it's a US car then there is not an egr on the 2.2L engine. I think some of the mexican and oversea's engines had them, but not here in the US.

SOURCE: I have a 06 chevy colorado engine light came on

hi this could be a lot of things, the only way to find out is to have it checked with a code reader, it could be something simple like a miss fire as sometimes happens or could be something more serious best get it checked out, you could have a sensor gone u/s and you might be using allot of fuel.....hope this helps

I have a 06 Chevy Colorado and the code it gave me P0171 I don't know what side is bank one and also gave me P0305

More than likely, even if you replace the O2 Sensor, it is the hose that connects the valve covers to the EGR system. Check to see if that wiggled out or is in a position where it might have started to leak.

On the P0305, it indicates that you have a misfire, and this can be caused because of the leaking hose from the previous.

Other causes can be:

Faulty spark plug or wire
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Running out of fuel
Poor compression
Defective computer

Why does my 1984 chevy c10 silverado slow down going up small hills? I'm moving and pulling a uhaul behind me going back to Texas from Colorado.

An old exhaust converter could be partially blocked

The timing chain & gears could be worn

Egr valve issue

Worn valves that don't seal properly

Trans may be slipping or lock-up in converter is stuck on

Only so much guessing we can do

You have to test things one at a time

Low idle on chevy colorado

The best thing to do is run a trouble code check on it.
Other than that check for a vaccum leak, the EGR valve, or the idle air control valve.

2005 chevy colardo runs rough and stalls on low RPM at high rpm runs fine

Could be a sticky EGR valve, or a large vacuum hose off or burnt.

Rough idle

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Colorado (3.5L). Cleaned the MAF sensor (with MAF sensor cleaner) and throttle body/plate - cleared it right up.
