Did you do anything to repair the mas air flow sensor code or did it go out by itself? If you did not replace it or clean it you should get some mass air flow sensor cleaner and clean it out.You can get this at most part stores. If you are getting this code then you need to repair this problem. This will cause the car to loose power and it can be intermittent.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if you have anymore questions.

SOURCE: Ok I have a 2003 pontiac grand prix that started

Sometimes the anti theft security system that came on these cars start to fail and the car can literally turn of the starter and/or injectors. Next time this happens, check to see if there is a light on the dash that says SECURITY. This would be a dead give away of the problem. Could try the crank sensor, that is where I would start. Next would be the timing & compression.

Townace won't start!!! Help!!!

First thing I would do is make sure the batter cables are secure and tight to the battery post and make sure the red cable is to the + side of the battery and black is on the - side of the battery. They need to be tight and snug in order to put out the amps needed to start the car. YOu can also put a trickle charger on the battery over night at the 2 amp setting and make sure it is charged up. I would guess one of those problems is what is causing you your grief.

Good luck

Car won't turn over

Check its connector, must be good tight.
If it's good tight but still do the same>>then it's corrosion. Replace new one.

You need a scanner hooked up then look at the sensors in the security system, one is defective and causing this problem.

Car wont start, seems like battery went dead

If the car doesn't start with a jump you might have a bad alternator. The alternator supplies voltage to the car once the engine is running. If the battery is dead, and the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage, the engine cannot run. Then again sometimes a car with an extremely dead or internally shorted battery WON'T start with a jump. Replace the battery and try again.

Our 2002 alero won't turn over /start with key but starts by jumping. Test shows battery and fuses OK

Look for a light that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT on the dash. This light could cause this problem. Explained on this link.

check your ignition fuse and relay fuse.also check your master fuses located on the fire wall they are the ones that run from your nattery to your maine master fuse.follow the battery cable the red one all the way to the fire wall and from there it gos to the starter you may have burned thoses fuses out remove the black fuse cover
