Replace the gas caps with new. It sounds like the vent in the original gas cap is stuck and not working.

To much pressure on gas tank when i take cap off, alot of pressure help me on my 2007 chevy tahoe

There is pressure and yes it can be allot. Unless the check engine light is on there is not problem. My Corvette really gets pressurized when i remove the cap, esp on hot days, have had 2 of them both did the same think. the system can build up to about 7 PSI and that is a real pop when you pull the gas cap.

I have an 85 Toyota pick up efi and I put a new fuel pump in and I cant put the gas cap on tight or it builds pressure and with it off it leaks gas out the overflow in the engine compartment?

Either the Gas Cap is shot or the tank vent is clogged. First thing i would recommend would be to try swapping the gas cap for one from another car (without the same problem).
The Gas Cap should be a vented style cap, but if it quits it can build up pressure inside the tank. If swapping the cap doesn't stop the pressure, than the vent is clogged, it's on top of the tank

How do i depressurize the gas tank? on a 1995 nissan altima

HI,
If you mean the fuel line, start the engine, then remove the fuel pump relay , when not enough fuel pressure to run the engine, it will die and line will be depressurized. The tank itself only has minimal pressure which is vented. Removing the filler (gas) cap will relieve any excess pressure in the tank...Mike

No pressure in gas tank when the cap is opened.

I am not sure I understan tghe question. You should not have a lot of pressure in the tank. There are hoses that capture any vapors that are in the tank and eleviate pressure build up.
Most often I have found the engine light on because of gas tank vent, such as loose
or bad gas cap or the vent valve stuck open. The computer does a cycle ever so often
and maintains the vent pressure build up in the gas tank and vapor canister, and if the purge valve sticks open the computer gives a check engine light and code as the pressure is not in the vapor storage tank when called for.
If your worried about no pressure at all then I would change the gas cap and see if this helps

Fuel tank holds extremely hi pressure after changing out fuel pump on a 2000 silverado 5.3 engine.the more distance you drive the higher the pressure gets in tank.

You may be referring to the lowering of pressure in your fuel tank. As fuel is used, the pressure in the fuel tank drops to prevent vapours in the tank escaping to atmosphere. Ths is to comply with emission standards. The further you drive, the lower the pressure. When you remove the tank cap, air rushes in which makes you think it's coming out.

Gas cap. pressurized air retentiion

Well, filling the tank will take up the space having to be pressureized. But if the cap is defective, The cap would be cheaper to replace and its needed anyway.
