It usually means the traction control. here is the number to mitsubishi i would recommend you call them to b sure.

For questions regarding your Mitsubishi vehicle, please contact Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. at 1-888-MITSU2009. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (CT)

p.s. (matthigh84) you may call them and let them know you replaced the battery when it came on. your may be something other causing the light to come on.

Hello I just went and got a Dx test done for my car because of the problems I have been having. They basically said I need a new distributor cap and rotor and I have oil leaks leaking on my wires. To sum it all up you need to get a complete tune up on your car and it stops all the problems from occuring and yes it does affect the TCL light that is why it comes on and the car cuts off. they wanted to charge me $1400 dollars, but I have a friend who can do it all for $130. I hope I have help someone. THX

Intermittant starts running crappy and tcl light comes on

When the TCL light is on usually means there's a problem with the traction control, need to have inspected real soon. Could be a speed sensor.

On my 2001 Diamante, when I start it, I have to push the gas pedle to the floor and hold it there b4 the car will start. Could this be a gas filter or mass air flow sensor problem?

Firstly, try to avoid depressing the gas pedal if possible, as this will flood the injection system.

Due to the intricacy of your Diamante's Emission system, this condition could be caused by any number of air/fuel components.

For this reason, DO NOT replace any parts, until you have had your diagnostic codes checked.

If you're technically inclined, you can check the diagnostics yourself by jumping the No.1 & No. 4 pins on your diagnostic connector (under dash, above driver's knee). Turn key to ON (do not star) and observe the flash sequence on your Check Engine light.

I have a flashing tcl/off light on my Mitsubishi carisma 1.8

I just worked on a Mitsubishi diamante, when i was done the tlc off light was flashing and had no power on acceleration. the clamp that holds the intake pipe to the throttle body was in the way of the tcl on the throttle body throwing a code because it couldnt do a sweep test at key on. moved the clamp to the top of hose and problem went away... That sucked...

How to set up garage door opener on my 2002 diamante

Detail Instructions from the owner's manual 1. Turn off engine
2. Prepare transmitter by erasing all three of the factory default channels by holding down the two outside buttons until the red light begins to flash. Release both buttons.
3. Hold the end of your hand-held transmitter (garage door remote) against the Homelink transmitter keeping the red light within the Homelink icon in view.
4. Using both hands push the hand-held transmitter button and the deisre button to be programmed on the Homelink transmitter. Do not release the buttons at this time.
5. Hold down both buttons until the red light on the universal transmitter flashes, first slowly then rapidly. When the light flashes rapidly, release both buttons.
To program the remaining two buttons, follow steps 3-5.

Neutral light on magna th keeps flashing when in 1,2,3,and d, what should i be looking for?

Hi there,

The Diamante has an intelligent auto transmission.

When the "N" light flashes on your instrument panel, it means the onboard computer has detected an abnormaility within the automatic transmission.

If I remember correctly, the frequency of the flashing "N" denotes two possibilities:

a) 1 flash per second = Transmission fault:

You will need to have the fault codes extracted from the vehicle's computer, to determine the area of your transmission which is at fault.

b) 2 flashes per second = overheated transmission

Pull over and allow the engine to idle for 2-3 mins, while in PARK (this will aid the transmission fluid to flow throughout and help to cool the trans fluid down a little). You will need to have the fluid inspected and possibly the fluid temp sensor also.
