Question about 2005 Dodge Neon
HI i have an 05 dodge neon i have had no problem intill now for the last 3months my car has been losing power back fires and misses i was told i needed a new battery so i replaced the battery and it ran perfect for a bout 2 weeks and then the problems started again it starts out acting like it's stopped up and misses really bad intill i hit about 50 mph and then it runs fine intill i hit about 58 mph and it won't go any faster and when i try to get it to go my car shakes and jerks really bad and if i push the gas pedal all the way to the floor it loses power completey i have to pull over and turn it off then restart it and sometimes it's fine like it kicks in and i can take off without a problem and go as fast as i like but then other times it acts this way for days without letting up right before it starts acting up the motor light comes on i no it's not the transmission well at least i hope so i have heard it could be the altnator but i think it's something to do with the fuel filter or someother filter i do know it is in need of a oil change and the filters probley also need to be replaced could this be my problem or is it the oxygen sensor? i need to figure out what the problem is before this weekend so i can get this problem fixed so please anyone who can help i would greatly appreicate it thanks again christy.
