If you switch the battery polarity correct it. You wil have fusable link that has opened. Go to the engine juction fuse box right near the battery and inspect for open fuse and replace with the same amperage . You also stated switches polarity so this means you have a volt meter so use the voltmeter to test each of your fuses

They switch back and forth at the door panel switch for up and down. I test form power and polarity using a simple 12v test light/probe at the switch, grounding the test light clip to a bolt and then trace the power to the motor from there.

Your best bet is to just pay the ($15 I think it is) to Alldata.com and have all the service information you could every want for every part of the car. I did a google search and trying to find a specific wiring diagram usually takes quite a bit of time. If you have a lot of time to spend, just do a search and sift through the sites one by one until you find what you're looking for. Good luck, I've been through this one before. Used to have an 89 Probe, it was fun except for the speed limiter at 113mph, haha!

89 ford probe, 2.2 turbo, no spark. has new coil, ignition module, distributor, cap and rotor, and crank sensor; checked all the fuses, and relays, still no spark.

Check out your "fuel cut-off switch" located by the windshield washer tank behind the driver's side wheel-well panel in the trunk. It's a small box with a push-button at the top. If the button is "soft" when you push it, that's probably your problem. Replace the unit by removing the washer fluid tank first. The box simply plugs in. Probably about $ 100. I replaced three in my Probe. They rot out, and the car simple dies.

89 thunder bird. Not charging

Did you hook up the wires from the correctly? Some batteries have the pos and neg reversed on the mounting posts. You may need to double check battery cables and alternator cables are charging. If you have a volt meter, you can perform more diagnostic tests on your own. Like testing output of alternator to ensure you are putting out the correct polarity.
