MIL light will come on when the cars engine computer finds a problem, you will need to take it to a shop to determine what trouble code there is and then have testing performed to determine the actual repairs that are needed.

What does mil cmd fail mean?

MIL is your malfunction indicator lamp, (check engine light)

CMD is the computer interface port, or OBDII port indicating a malfunction communicating with your cars computer

check all the fuses, primarily any marked pcm and retest your vehicle
note: your check engine or MIL has to be on in KOEO state (key on engine off), if the bulb is burned out everything will still work and the OBDII test computer will show MIL status ON, and if you don't have a computer to tell you that, you must get that light to light in the koeo state.

Why is my MIL flashing?

Check for codes then google them, to see what
vehicle system failed

Check lights have been on all vehicles for 32 years,
long time not be up to speed

Check out OBD2 Systems when your on Google

I wouldn't drive it, if the light is flashing, other than to a repair
shop

Flashing MIL Lamp on some vehicles is a Class A cylinder
misfire & can ruin the exhaust converter & other things

When you have any light stay on your dash after the motor
is running, you got a problem

Had a bad order the other day, now service light is on, how many before and after Oxygen Sensor do I need? For 07' Mazda 5.

If you replaced the O2 Sensor & that was the cause
of the check light being on,it will go off when you start
the car

If you still have a check light on, you need to start over &
check for codes again.

Maybe the O2 was not the issue in the first place, or
not why you got a MIL Lamp on.

There are no days required for anything
Some vehicles require a code reader or scan tool
to clear the dash MIL Lamp, but not with every type repair.

On some vehicles the EVAP System only runs a self
test every few days, most other scans & relearns are done
every time you drive after a warm up period during your trip

How many oxygen sensors are there on a 1996 ford explorer 8 cyl., 4.0 eng.

The answer depends on the type of exhaust system you have. You will have either 3 or 4 total O2 sensors on your V8. If you have single exhaust with a single catalytic converter then you will have 3 O2 sensors (2 upstream sensors & one downstream sensor - "up or down stream" meaning before of after the catalytic converter). If you have either dual exhaust and/or two catalytic converters then you have 4 O2 sensors (2 upstream & 2 downstream). If you have an MIL light (malfunction indicator light, or "check engine light") the code will indicate "front bank / bank one", which is one of the 2 upstream O2's before the catalytic converter(s), or "rear bank / bank two", which is one of the O2's after the catalytic converter(s).

2000 vw beetle mil light is on

First of all you need to access the Engine Control Module (ECM) using suitable diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com, or similar) connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC's memored. DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code. Then you will bu full informed about the root cause of the problem, and you will be able to repair & replace bad pieces and reset the ECM. Then the check engine yellow light will turn OFF.
The check engine light (MIL = Malfunction Indicator Lamp):

2 weeks ago i had oil changed. The next day, MIL came on. I added some fuel and later that same afternoon, MIL went off. Two days ago, MIL back on. Added transmission fluid, MIL went off. Yesterday, guess...

Check engine light has to be scanned to see what is causing it. The problem causing it is probably stored in the car's computer. Get it scanned at autozone or a similar place, they usually do this for free. Not likely a CEL would be thrown for fluids being low.

What does code 1-p0650 mean?

P0650 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is located on the instrument panel. When the ignition switch is turned ON without engine running, MIL will light up. This is a bulb check. When the engine is started, MIL should go off. If MIL remains on, the on board diagnostic system has detected an engine system malfunction.

Possible Causes:
  • Harness or connectors (MIL circuit is open or shorted.)
  • MIL bulb may be faulty
