SOURCE: 1999 dodge durango heater core

It's a big job. Drain the coolant down, recover the freon in the ac system and disconnect the lines and heater hoses. Lower the steering column, remove the instrument panel assembly, remove the heater housing. Split the case halves on the housing and there you are. Usually around 500 to 700 dollars at a dealership.

SOURCE: 1999 Dodge Durango. Brake Light and the ABS Light

If you backup lights are not working as well, I would say check the fuse for the backup lights, if the fuse is good, see if you are getting power to that fuse. We had this problem and after weeks of searching and changing sensors, we found the backup light fuse was good, but not getting power. Ran a wire from that fuse to the cig. lighter fuse and all woprksf great.

SOURCE: 1999 Dodge Durango. Speedometer not working.

We had the same problem. The dealership wanted to do a 2,000 major overhaul of the rear axle. I found out there is a speed sensor that is easily replaced (it happened a few years ago but I remember the part being pretty inexpensive). Hope this helps.

Headlights wont turn off durango

There are some variations on this, but here is the basic setup.
In 1999 most models used the headlight switch to provide the ground circuit instead of power to the headlights. And some models also used a timer delay to keep the lights on for a minute or so after turning the switch off.
And if it has daytime running lights, there are more controls involved.
Have you eliminated the headlight switch as the problem by unplugging it ?

this actually happened to me. i would recommend locating the 'DayTime Running Lights' fuse and pull that fuse out. this worked for my 2001 Chevy Cavalier. Hope this helps

Headlights and dash lights are flickering. Pleae help.

First check your baterry terminals, make sure they are clean and secure.
If it's your daytime running lights that flicker, check the DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP MODULE
If it's headlights, check the switch.
I hope this helps
