SOURCE: 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Heater/AC Blower on without Ignition ON

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate

SOURCE: how to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

I'm not 100% sure where it is, or possibly built right in to the dash control/fan switch, but I'd be tempted to stop & see the parts guy at the dealership, or another dealership, and ask if they have one, or a picture of one. Once you see it, you'll know where to look. Just a guess but quite often built right into switch on dash.

SOURCE: 2003 Jeep Liberty heater fan problem

It is the blower motor resistor. Look under the passanger side dash and locate the fan housing (looks round and black in color. Then locate the resistor it will be in that housing usually withtwo ten millimeter nuts or two simple screws holding it in. unplug the harness to the resistor and remove the resistor. Part store price is approx. 50.00. Note: on aftermarket (not Jeep) resistor sometimes you have to modify the housing a little to get it in. Hope this helps.

You might have a bad speed selector switch, or your blower motor resistor is faulty.

I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The heater/air blower just quit working, I checked the fuse and that was good. What's the problem?

most likely its the blower motor unless it has a relay that you cant check you just have to replace it. sometimes you will have a few relays that are the same and you can use one just to see if thats the problem, but make sure its not one that controls anything major.

My wife's 2004 liberty's blower stopped working suddenly today. No warning and no longer works on any setting. The fuse is fine so I figure it is the blower motor. Do they normally fail that...

There are motors available other than the dealer but I am going to guess that it's a fuse or the relay. Have you checked them yet? If not the fuse you want to check is located in the fuse panel inside the vehicle (see picture below of the location of that panel) also below is a picture of the fuse layout. The fuse you want to check will be the fuse in the number 24 position and should be a red 10 amp fuse. There is also a "Blower Motor relay" and that is in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment on the drivers side but I'm guessing it's the fuse. If you have any further questions feel free to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net and I can look in the service manual for other options because through my 25 plus years of experience I don't the motor just stopped because you in most cases would have had problems off and on before it finally went. I hope this helps and good luck.

2003 Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) air con

You most likely have a problem with a part called the air temperature control blend door, it controls the air flow across the AC core or heater core, it is most likely warped or the motor that operates it is defective or in most cases both are in need of replacing. This repair requires the entire dash be removed to access the AC parts.
