Try to have someone outside of that car and push down and pull up on the hood as you pull the lever..if the lever is broken off u can use a pair of pliers to pull the wires that pop the hood..you might have to strip off some of the black insulation good luck

I have a 1996 ford mustang gtalk I need to know

There is a fuse box on the inside of the car on the left side of the dash. Either on the end of the dash or under the dash above the hood release. Some models you may have to look under the dash to see it. I have an 03 GT and I hope this will help you find what you want.

You gota love the stangs.

Fuse box location

Straight up from the hood release is the "low power" fuse box. A latch cover hides/protect the fuses.
There's also a "high power" fuse box behind the battery, also with a latch cover to protect it. These fuses are of a much higher rating/amperage than the "low power" fuses.
You might need to get an owners manual as it spells out what each fuse does in detail.

Can not completely close the hood

Make sure there are no obstuctions under the hood.
Check your release cable, make sure it's working
properly to the latch. Check to make sure the latch is
open. Push the release all the way in.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

Starting problem

could be more than one problem. If you tried to start it right after you blew the hose, something could have gotten wet. I hope you have tried after everything has dried out.
Also the sound could be something related to the timing. You could have lost a timing belt. Need to look into it alittle deeper. Get more info and let's try again.
