SORRY BUT I AM WRONG THIS ENGINE USES BOTH TYPES OF SENSORS, A MAF AND MAP, THE MAF IS LOCATED IN THE AIR INTAKE HOSE THAT GOES TO THE ENGINE FROM THE AIR CLEANER, IT IS SANDWICHED INTO THE AIR HOSE.

This year and model 4.7 V8 doesn't use a MAF (mass airflow) sensor, it has what is called a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor, it provides similar air flow info to the computer but works on vacuum sensed in the intake and is known as a "speed density" system of sensing. It appears it is located on the firewall of the engine and has a 7/32" vacuum hose from the engine going to it. See picture below.

SOURCE: 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 engine oil sensor location

There is not enough flow at the sensor for a second oil filter. The sensor is at a dead end in the oil gallery. I recommend that you persue other options here. If you are concerned about oil contamination, don't be. There is nothing better than the factory filter...Look into adding more oil capacity; Look into an engine oil cooler; there is really no need for a second filter.

SOURCE: MAF SENSOR

Usually this is located on the pipe that comes off the air filter. It can also be located on the intake manifold itself, however the majority of the time its on the pipe coming from the air filter.

Sincerely,

JC

SOURCE: toyota landcruiser ignition switch

I am not 100% sure on toyota but most ignition switches you must remove the housing around the steering wheel to get to it . Its usually a large plastic componet on the left side behind the turn signal handle . It is always best to go to the local auto parts store and buy a haynes repair manual before attempting any repairs. Hope evereything turns out well for you !!

Where is iat sensor located on 2006 tpyota tacoma 4,ol ?

Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor are combined into a single assembly which is called Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. This MAF sensor is located on the air filter box near air filter hose, and is connected with a five wire connector. You cannot replace the IAT sensor alone. Instead a MAF sensor is replaced altogether.

Where is iat sensor on 2006 toyota tacoma 4.ol 4door located ?

This is the 2001-2012 Toyota Tacoma wiring diagram, Toyota Tacoma IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor Location and the Toyota Tacoma MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Location, also included is a pinout of the sensor. You are likely installing a performance chip or a cold air intake kit for increased HP (Horsepower). You will want to be sure to disconnect the car battery before adding performance products.

Here is the Toyota Tacoma's Iat sensor diagram:

Where is the MAF sensor on a 1998 toyota 4runner with a 3.4 liter engine

Hello. Welcome to FIxYa. Please allow us to assist you.

The MAF (on any Toyota) is located in the tube between the air filter box and the intake manifold/throttle body on the engine. It is a black device with a wire connector, and is held on by two screws.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.
