Go to autozone and loan a tool a brake kit, for disk brakes...

once you get the tires off and look at the tools it will fall into place as to what you have to do, you have to compress the cylinder, you do this by taking a screw driver and putting it in between the brake pad and the rotor and pulling tword yourself you will see the cylinder move, make sure it is in all the way, remove the caliper and take out the old pads and put in the new ones.

2004 Jaguar s type dsc and parking brake along with engine system fault comes on and car goes into limp mode when slowing down or when it rains.

I had the same thing here, I paid lots of money to find out what is the problem, mechanics played with my poor car damaged everything they can to stop it from running, but when I found out that when I changed the battery on my own, with a turkish manufactured battery of 100 A big battery, not even the fault stopped appearing but all the car was boosted in performance, Dsc not available and Park Brake is all related to the level of electricity running the parts of car was screaming back to you, change my battery, all parts of Jaguar runs on electricity, main computer now runs faster, no delay on screen, and now Dsc not available once ignited doesn't appear anymore, remember that once car is reset by battery change, you need to apply brake and boot (step on brak and hold park brak lever up at the same time with pressing computer button on stearing whisk for like 10 sec until you see on screen AVE back again), and bypass radio lock by pressing on the three buttons, mem and the right combination with >>, and you're set

Suddenly entered 'limp home' mode. ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT, DSC NOT AVAILABLE, PARKBRAKE FAULT messages. Reset with ignition of-on, then they all came back after 5 minnutes.

Hi,

The limp mode is activated when your transmission fluid is overheating.

British cars have their transmission with that safety system.

Check the fuse "transmission", in your fuse box, it might have been blown already.

You coud go to your nearest dealer to check on that and scan your computer for errors.

Hope that helps you out!

I need a detailed explanation on how to change the right rear brakelight lamp on my 2003 X-type jaguar. Some help would be very appreciated.

Remove the black wingnuts that hold the back trim panel behind the light. Once you get that panel pushed to the side you will see three or four, 10mm bolts holding the lamp to the body. Take the bolts off, release the tab on the electrical connector to the assembly and then you can slide the lamp assembly out.

Good luck!

2002 jaguar x-type radio

I have the same problem, the speakers are "burned", you need to repair them or change them, I went to a place where repair car stereos, old tvs, etc., they "rewire" or change the wires in the back of the speaker, where regular speakers have magnet, he told me not to replace the speakers for another ones, he told me that this ones are Alpine (they don´t have any label) speakers and that they are better than most commercial ones, he charge me about $50 usd, Good Luck!
