Question about 1999 Isuzu Trooper
Bought it recently from japan.it was running perfectly when due changed oil and filter. on test run running perfrctly for 15 minutes and then engine cut off while it was rolling and is not starting again. there was check engine light for 5minutes before it went silent. the other thing which i noticed was a noise of vaccum like coke bottle opening when we swithched off engine while testing. we tried to figure out but could not. i thought that this noise could be normal as i never swithched off engine with bonnet open and myself standing outside. i tried to pump fuel filter and tried but it is cranking nicely but not starting. please advise.
That pop noise is ok just the flap in the throttle body coming open when the car stops .
The engine may have stopped because its low on oil so the oil pump for the injectors wont work - takes about 7 u.s. quarts of 5/30 fully synthetic oil at service time to run right.
It can also stop if the pressure sensor in the injector rail packs up or the oil pick up pipe for the injector system falls off due to cracking the mount .
