How do repair my speedo

I'm surprised the mileage stops recording. Had a similar problem and found that when the car battery was starting to die (soon needing to be replaced) the same thing would happen, gas gauge bounced around and went to zero. A friend pointed this problem out to me, he had the same problem. Check your battery's health.

Why is my 2001 TD holden rodeo speedo not working?

sounds like the output is burnt do you have a check engine 1st check all fuses to see if not burnt then in the back of transmission near fire wall check where the axles come out of the transmission on the top of the case is a switch with wires comming out that is the electric speedo check the connection and wires for corosion or break

Why do a Mazda3 speedo only work when engine get warm

Could be the speedometer, or the speed sensor in the transmission.
Is the check engine light staying on ?
If it is, you should have the computer scanned for trouble codes. You may find a code for the sensor.

Speedo keeps failing to work, then starts working only to to stop again, getting more often and longer periods of failure?

have u had the system tested for fault codes, the speedo gets its signal from the transmission speed sensor, if that sensor is acting up it will set a fault code.
