Question about Nissan Xterra
All of a sudden my interior light wont wrok when you open the door (works fine when you switch it on) and also the high level break light has stopped working as well. Have also fitted a new switch to the boot but to no avail it still wont open from the outside or with the remote??? anywone advise whether these are all connected in anyway?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If remote locks and unlocks driver door but does not unlock passenger doors, then follow the advice above:
Get in the car using the key to unlock the doors. From the passenger side lock and unlock your doors using the button on the passenger door. Get out and the remote should now unlock all the doors with 2 presses.
Worked perfectly for me after several other suggestions (and dealer) failed.

The problem is water getting into the boot switch and shorting out the contacts. A new boot switch is required which you can get from nissan for about £55. I have recently fitted one myself and its a very easy and quick job to do.

Hi there, this is a very common fault, you need to replace the drivers door actuator to stop the noise, ive done loads of these. hope this helps.
