Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
I have a tape adapter for my ipod that used to work perfectly fine in this car, but now it keeps spitting out the tape adapter and it says "E 10" on the stereo every time it spits it out. Sometimes it will work for a 30 minute car ride, other times it will constantly spit it out. I've tried other tapes and bought a new tape adapter, and it still does the same thing. Does anyone know how I can fix this? It's driving me crazy!!
The radio checks to make sure the drive capstan is turning - if not, gives the E10 error. Either the drive belt in the radio is slipping or the drive wheel in the adapter is sticking. If it does it with a real cassette, then it's probably the drive belt. If not, you can try to figure out why the wheel in the adapter is not turning freely.
