Question about Chevrolet Uplander LS
Hi, I just purchased a 2007 Chevy Uplander and it has the control's for the cruise control but none of the controls work. The dash light for the indicator for the cruise won't turn on either. I don't know if it worked before, but wondering if they install it at the factory standard but didn't program it into the computer. Do I need a new cruise kit or can I just get this one programmed? Thanks for any help...

the most common cause of this is the rotating ribbon contact for the steering wheel switches is defective, this contact ribbon is under the steering wheel and is commonly called the clock spring contact.

SOURCE: 2007 GMC Yukon Cruise Control
Check the speed sensor. Look up the location at autozone .com or google. It is either near the tranny or at the passenger side wheel. The speed sensor is almost always connected to cruise control problems.
