Water on floor in back seat

Help! I have water on the floor of the passenger side of the Madza car. Not just a puddle... it's soaking!! I cleaned most of it up, but the next day it came back. Where is it coming from? It rained pretty hard when I first noticed it, but the second day when another puddle appeared... day didn't rain at all that day??? I've been on-line to research the cause. Most sites I've seen mention sunroof/moomroof problems. I don't have one on my car. All the seals around the door are good? It's fall so I don't have condensation from the A.C. (too cold to use) that coould be coming inside. It's not a chemical, no smell or colour (ie. some sort of hose leak from the engine) Help please!

1997 Mazda Protege. Exactly the same problem - water soaking the passenger side floor. No smell to the water.

I just purchased a 2000 mazda protege; had it mechanically checked out and all came back clean. Took it home today and was cleaning it up and noticed a puddle of water in the back passenger floor area. This was not apparent on the two times we checked out the car. Please offer any advice you may have. Thanks.

Sorry to say but it sounds like the heater core has a hole in it. it maybe easy to get to in order to replace it. check your coolant level, if low fill up run a while let cool and check water level again. or a costlier method would be to have a cooling system check, you can buy one at most auto part stores. you place the cap on radiator and put pressure on system if pressure goes down you have a definate leak. replace heater core. hope this helps

Drill a 3/8 th hole through the floor at the lowest point then look for the water leak ,is the AC drain pipe clear as this is the most obvious point of entry and the AC condensate will run into car if this pipe is blocked

Water on passenager side floor has puddles in front of seat and behine seat

water in the passenger seat is caused by a leaking seal in the a/c evaporator. all the cool air in the a/c are stored in the evaporator. thus moisture is present in the evaporator. have an a/c technician check the fittings in your a/c.

I would say you have either a bad seal on the windshield or the seal on the passenger door opening.

Water puddling on front passenger floor mat and

are you sure it is water, smell it to ensure it is not antifreeze (smells sickly sweet), if it is antifreeze possibly heater core leak, otherwise check for plugged evaporator drip tube (with a/c of course), could also be leaking body panel (cracked chalking etc). hope this helps
