Question about 1996 Mazda Millenia
I take it you don't like low-riders, smirk, smirk. The only axles on front wheel drive cars are the drive axles with the CV joints on each end. Is this what broke? Or was it a rear suspension member? Well, either way, I don't know why it wouldn't be repairable. A well-equipped shop can do wonders from frame straightening (rather doubtful in your case) to restoring to near factory condition. Millenias have a unique suspension system, so be prepared for the possibility of a long parts list for replacement, and the resultant exorbitant repair fee. That's just the way it is nowadays. Dealerships are the most expensive to work with. Ask around and find a good independent shop near you for the best deal. Maybe get two or more estimates of the repair and pick the one that suits you. We may both be happily surprised that the cost of repair was less than expected.

It can be repaired. you will need to make sure you did not bend or crack the shock. usually it will bend so it will also need to be replaced. make sure everything else is good and take both ends of the drIve shaft out of the wheel and the transmIssIon. and replace It. when you Install the new one you wIl need to make It lock Into place or It wIll grInd the gears on the new one.

They are supposed to come out. Any chance of removing the other Axle and seeing if the axle can come out by driving it out with a punch and hammer?
