SOURCE: i need of a turbo waste gate on a 7.3 liter

Yes it will hurt the performance if yo do anything wire the waste gate shut. however the waste gate is on the inside of the turbo unless you have a special turbo that is not stock.

Why dose my mazda 323 gtx over boost buzzer come on and boost cut

Sounds like the waste gate is having trouble. It could be what's called a "boost leak". the waste gate is most likely internal on a factory system. On the turbo, You'll see a small, vacuum pod looking thing with a linkage connected. Check to make sure the vacuum line/hose is properly connected and run that line to make sure it's not cracked some where.
Otherwise, it could be any coupler, connection on the pipes that carry the air from the turbo to the throttle body. Even a "loose clamp" can cause boost leaks. With over boost, it's most likely the waste gate.
Good luck. Hope ya find it.

1.4 doratorg fiesta gone totally flat no turbo boost at all checked pipework , egr, if actuator pipe is blown down waste gate is moving this only came about after fitting injector seals and leak off...

I have not worked on this unit myself but what you describe can be turbo problems. There may be a difference in testing procedures at Ford and how you are testing it. I do not know why driveability problems do not show up when Ford mechanics drive it.

Some vehicles have manifold runners on the intake manifolds which restrict airflow at different speeds. The Turbo may have a waste-gate, bypass, or trigger device which may be locking out the Turbo flow. So when you test the Turbo it is affected by a defect, but the way Ford tests the Turbo the defect is bypassed.

Would be interesting to hear your solution so I can share it.

My talon laggs power..when i first bought the car it was great..off the stop i would gas it and rite at 3000 rpms you would feel the turbo kick in and sink u into ur seat but now i drive it and it just...

the waste gate solenoid could be stuck in the open position causing the exhaust to bypass the turbocharger and not spool up causing the lack of power, so remove the turbo and check the exhaust outlet chamber and make sure that the gate isnt open

How to turn up the turbo psi boost in a 2005 ford f-350 6.0 liter Superduty

You just can't turn up the turbo boost any more with the new engines. If the turbo start to boost more then the PCM is programed to, it will cut the fuel pressure down and you loose more HP. Here is a link for you if your looking to get good HP out of your 6.0 liter diesel. You can replace the wast gate for the turbo with a higher PSI rating but your going to have to by a electronic boost builder for the PCM so it will not kill the fuel pressure soon as you start making more boost. http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/bd-diesel/turbo-boost-builder.htm and http://innovativediesel.com/ Good luck and hope you get the HP your looking for to get out of your engine.
