The dealer may have to re-program the Anti-Theft processor to get the car started.
Hope this helps.

It does sound like your battery is the problem but have a local shop test it and the charging system and the anti theft system connections maybe the alarm is draining the battery with a poor connection..

2002 chevy malibu want starts because of the theft system, how can i reset it

Get a battery charger and hook it up to the battery on the 20amp setting. Turn the key to the on position 3 times and on the 3rd time, leave in the on position. Leave it that way for about 30 min. After the 30 minutes, turn the car off and disconnect the battery charger. This resets the anti-theft system and you should be able to start the car.

2002 malibu 3100 v-6 won't start, getting fuel and fire to all cylinders

if the security light is flashing than the anti theft is active. The anti theft shuts down the injectors and will not let the vehicle start.

You'll need a battery charger to do this. Hook up the battery charger to the battery.

Place the key in the igniton and attempt to start. Let the key return to the run postion and leave it there untill the light stops flashing. Turn the key off

Turn the key on (do not try to start) and wait for the light to stop flashing again.

turn the key off and then try to start the vehicle.

You can google search "resetting gm security" and find this info as well.

Turn ignition key and motor starts up, next day turn ignition key and motor just turns over and wont start. could it be anti theft problem its a 2002 f150 4 wheel drive with 4.6 liter

This could be caused by either a faulty Crank Shaft Position Sensor or the anti-theft system. Try put key in, turn to ON position for EXACTLY 10 minutes, As SOON as anti-theft light shuts off or stops flashing, then IMMEDIATELY start the engine.

I believe that Anti theft has been trigerred, how

If you put a programmed key in the ignition and turn to the run position, the theft light should go out, no waiting should be required.

Make sure the key is one programmed for the truck, and make sure you do not have another RFID tag ( another PATS key, Speed pass tag, other "swipe" style tags ) near the ign switch when you do this.

If the key is programmed for the truck, and the theft light will no go out, you have another problem, usually the next step is the PATS transceiver.

Anti theft malfunction

Heres the skinny....the wire around the ignition switch is actually an antennea for your anti theft transponder system. the other two wires work in conjuction with the anti theft system in that it supplies power to the ignition switch itself when your key is inserted into the ignition. Inside your key is a chip which emits a certain frequency known only to your vehicle.....when this key is near the ignition switch (ie going to start the car) the antenna senses the frequency and the anti theft system powers down and powers up the ignition so you can start your vehicle. Thanks for using fixya! Any more questions shoot me a email!

Sincerely,

JC
