Re: 2007 dodge stratus battery
If you haven't already located the battery, it is in the fenderwell, in front of the drivers side front wheel. There are a few retainers on a plastic shield in that area, remove those. Then disconnect the negative (black) cable first, and then the positive. You will also notice that there is a hold down bracket for the battery. Remove the bracket and the battery will slide out.
NOTE: It is easiest to remove the battery with the left front wheel off. Make sure to have the car on jack stands before you remove the wheel.

REMOVAL The battery is accessible without removing the left front wheel and tire assembly..
Verify that the ignition switch and all accessories are OFF. Turn the steering wheel to the full left position. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post. WARNING: NEVER GET UNDER A LIFTED VEHICLE IF NOT SUPPORTED PROPERLY ON SAFETY STANDS.
Remove battery splash shield. Refer to the Body section of the service manual for the procedure. Disconnect the heater blanket cord, if equipped. Remove the short bolt from the battery hold down and remove the hold down (Battery Location). Disconnect the negative and positive battery cables from the battery. Slide the battery toward rear of vehicle and lift out of the battery tray. Remove battery from vehicle.
remove left front(drivers side) tire and wheel, after jacking vehicle up the vechicle ,make sure emergency brake is on. remove inner fender sheild (pop out clips) battery then ma y be accessed at this point , remove battery hold down bracket. remove and install battery, I hope this was very helpful. good luck.
